if if

inspired by last night's colorful readings hosted by the 22 magazine at cafe orwell my sista samantha kostmayer-sulaiman read a short story called "laam" about the arabic alphabet "L". i will talk about it later, but her story and the readings and short films from the other artists filled my head so much that at 3:50 something i could bear no more, and to gain some zzz's i had exorcise this little poem from my system.
if if were to be
would if be on my side?
for if if and i were to pair
would not have been
been left aside?
would not possibilities cease to be
or never have been
as would have been been?
for with or without the possibility
of would or could have been
whose fates would also
have ceased to ever have been
if itself could never be
